Cognitive dissonance is ever so ouchy for the feeble minded folk. Thinking beyond the narrative and discerning piles of conflicting information that defy one’s beLIEf system is hard… so most just revert to their “programming”…

The term “Crazy Conspiracy Theorist” was originally weaponized by the CIA in 1967. It was suggested in a memo (CIA Document 1035-960) that it be employed as a propaganda tool. An effective means to discredit and therefore prevent people from listening to those individuals that were questioning the official narrative of the JFK assassination.

‘Conspiracy theory’ is a term that strikes fear and anxiety in the hearts of most every public figure, particularly journalists and academics. Since the 1960s the label has become a disciplinary device that has been overwhelmingly effective in defining certain events as off limits to inquiry or debate. Especially in the United States, raising legitimate questions about dubious official narratives destined to inform public opinion (and thereby public policy) is a major thought crime that must be cauterized from the public psyche at all costs… CIA Document 1035-960 played a definitive role in making the ‘conspiracy theory’ term a weapon to be wielded against almost any individual or group calling the government’s increasingly clandestine programs and activities into question. – From CIA Document 1035-960

“Fake News” was weaponized to discredit alt journalists from exposing “Pizzagate/Pedogate”.

Propaganda is rather effective.  Even when one presents clears evidence, once someone is “discredited”, with this program, their voice falls on deaf (and dumb) ears.

If you watch the media over the decades you will see scores of embedded programming examples in cartoons/film/tv etc.

They write in scenarios where people who question the narrative are called “crazy conspiracy theorists” and told they should not be listened to. Like it’s a disease one can be infected with. They write over-the-top, insane theories for the characters to portray them as “delusional”. They foster the beLIEf: “Truth comes from authority”. “Whatever they say is baseless and absurd.”  Unless the shiny man on TV says it’s true, it’s  “crazy conspiracy theory”.

Over a lifetime one watches scores of these “scenarios” and when confronted with a situation, most will follow the actions of those they saw in those situations. Instead of considering the evidence and information reasonably, they are “triggered” and follow their program screaming “crazy conspiracy theorist”, “Fake News, Fake News”…. RUN!

It’s really quite weak… Yet they beLIEVe that they are being a good citizens to protect the nation.

Predictive programming

American Dad, X-Files Conspiracy Theory….

Aside from propaganda, disinformation and predictive programming are important tools as well…

Here’s a fun hint… Whenever you see a spinning globe at the beginning of a news report, documentary, film, TV show etc, it is a symbol to indicate that it is DISinformation. Knowing this will make your research so much more effective. Although some independent producers may do this unaware, it’s more of a product of unconscious mimicry…  like those crazy kids at concerts who flash the devil horns without realizing the significance…

Anyway, if they are not aware enough to know what/why they are doing, it’s an indication they are not going to be a reliable source of super secret information…

Symbolism speaks more than words. Whether one comprehends or not, doesn’t matter.
Just like it doesn’t matter if one failed to understand the terms of the contract they signed, or “User Agreement” they “approved”. One is still bound by the terms…

Legalese is a mofo. Speaking of, here’s a fine example.

On the surface level this appears to be a bill to protect Americans from “Fake News”. Only the reality is that it actually legalized it. To discern, you must comprehend the fine art of legalese and etymology.

It is intended to deceive. there are multiple levels of “meaning” and a perception is fostered. The core of a CONtract. You are being conned. There’s a reason they do not teach this in school… One is easier to CONtrol if they are ignorant of the rules of the game. Knowledge IS power. That’s why “Everything you are told is a lie”.

Anyway…

A few fine highlights to note. (You will need to read the document first for this breakdown to make sense.)

First line

“To amend the United States Information and Educational Exchange Act of 1948 to authorize the domestic dissemination of information and material about the United States intended primarily for foreign audiences, and for other purposes.”

“authorize the domestic dissemination of information and material about the United States”

Regardless of “intent” for foreign audiences, domestic dissemination of information is authorized.

Previously, due to the Smith Mundt Act it was illegal for foreign created propaganda to be disseminated to domestic audiences.

“(C) to ensure that the persons seeking release of such material have secured and paid for necessary United States rights and licenses.”

One does not need “US rights and license” if distribution is not intended for US markets.

They only would need license for the territory where the propaganda is being published…
A BIG giveaway here.

“(b) Rule of construction.—Nothing in this section shall be construed to prohibit the Department of State or the Broadcasting Board of Governors from engaging in any medium or form of communication, either directly or indirectly, because a United States domestic audience is or may be thereby exposed to program material, or based on a presumption of such exposure. Such material may be made available within the United States and disseminated, when appropriate, pursuant to sections 502 and 1005 of the United States Information and Educational Exchange Act of 1948 (22 U.S.C. 1462 and 1437), except that nothing in this section may be construed to authorize the Department of State or the Broadcasting Board of Governors to disseminate within the United States any program material prepared for dissemination abroad on or before the effective date of the Smith-Mundt Modernization Act of 2012.”

“Nothing in this section shall be construed to prohibit the“……  “State”……   “from engaging”…..    “because a United States domestic audience is or may be thereby exposed to program material.”

This clearly removes laws and obstructions related to disseminating propaganda to domestic audiences.

While on the surface fostering perceptions and claims to prevent American audiences from being influenced… it does NOT prohibit.

This sums it all up… “Such material may be made available within the United States and disseminated, when appropriate…”

Bottom line, the repeal of the Smith Mundt Act in 2012 effectively legalized propaganda and the creation of “events” to influence domestic audiences. In other words, “it is said that” they can create a scenario and broadcast it as “news” to influence people to support certain action or legislation. For example, it would be legal to produce a school shooting scenario to influence domestic audiences to support gun control legislation, despite it being purely a fictional event… as long as it was “intended” for foreign audiences.

In doubt, refresh yourself with the “(b) Rule of construction. above^^^”—Nothing in this section shall be construed to prohibit”…
Nothing… to prohibit them from doing whatever they want.

This 1967 CIA Memo Is Still Used to Discredit Conspiracy Theorists Today

Meanwhile, if the shiny man on TV told everyone that the smoke and ash from the Woolsey fire was toxic and radioactive they would flee in mass. But he didn’t, he said everything is A OK, totally safe. Despite the fact that the fires started on the site of the worst nuclear meltdown in US history.

Or the fact that no actual testing or analysis had been demonstrated, if even performed at the time…

But if I told the herd that we were in danger and showed them a Geiger counter reading and field analysis to support my statement they would say I am “crazy conspiracy theorist” spreading “Fake News” to spook the herd and garner attention…

Nothing is real unless it’s on tv…

If you are aware of Operation Mockingbird, the CIA trained and placed journalists into positions of influence to better control the narrative. Anderson (Vanderbilt) Cooper is one of the more famous assets of this program. There are many, many more…

How Disinformation Agents Spread Their Webs of Deception

Information obtained from: http://www.wanttoknow.info/g/disinformation-agents

It is quite easy for a disinformation agent to spin a rich disinformation tale and then craft several different versions of the tale with new ‘facts’ to support the story in each one. These tales are usually a good mix of verifiable facts and cleverly designed lies, so that people who check the ‘facts’ tend to believe the lies that are mixed in.

The disinformation agent has only to feed these versions of his tale to several of the many conspiracy oriented websites out there, and it’s all over the Internet – but not on reliable websites. These same disinformation agents will use pseudonyms to join in on the discussions generated by their « news » so that they can manipulate the direction that comments take.

CIA Document 1035-960 and Conspiracy Theory:

the Foundation of a Weaponized Term

https://memoryholeblog.com/2013/01/20/cia-document-1035-960-foundation-of-a-weaponized-term/

‘Conspiracy theory’ is a term that strikes fear and anxiety in the hearts of most every public figure, particularly journalists and academics. Since the 1960s the label has become a disciplinary device that has been overwhelmingly effective in defining certain events as off limits to inquiry or debate. Especially in the United States, raising legitimate questions about dubious official narratives destined to inform public opinion (and thereby public policy) is a major thought crime that must be cauterized from the public psyche at all costs.

…it was the Central Intelligence Agency that likely played the greatest role in effectively ‘weaponizing’ the term. In the groundswell of public skepticism about the Warren Commission’s findings on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, the CIA sent a detailed directive to all of its bureaus, titled ‘Countering Criticism of the Warren Commission Report’.

The dispatch played a definitive role in making the ‘conspiracy theory’ term a weapon to be wielded against almost any individual or group calling the government’s increasingly clandestine programs and activities into question.

“This important memorandum and its broad implications for American politics and public discourse are detailed in a forthcoming book by Florida State University political scientist Lance deHaven-Smith, titled Conspiracy Theory in America. Dr. deHaven-Smith devised the State Crimes Against Democracy (SCAD) concept to interpret and explain potential government complicity in events such as the Gulf of Tonkin incident, the major political assassinations of the 1960s, and 9/11.

The agency was especially interested in maintaining the CIA’s own image and role as it “contributed information to the [Warren] investigation.

The memorandum lays out a detailed series of actions and techniques for ‘countering and discrediting the claims of the so-called conspiracy theorists, so as to inhibit the circulation of such claims in other countries’.

The agency also directed its members ‘[t]o employ propaganda assets to [negate] and refute the attacks of the critics. Book reviews and feature articles are particularly appropriate for this purpose’.

CIA Document 1035-960 further delineates specific techniques for countering ‘conspiratorial’ arguments centering on the Warren Commission’s findings. Such responses and their coupling with the pejorative label have been routinely wheeled out to this day in various guises by corporate media outlets, commentators and political leaders against those demanding truth and accountability about momentous public events.

Today, more so than ever, news media personalities and commentators occupy powerful positions for initiating propaganda activities closely resembling those set out in 1035-960 against anyone who might question state-sanctioned narratives of controversial and poorly understood occurrences.

…the almost uniform public acceptance of official accounts concerning unresolved events such as the Oklahoma City Murrah Federal Building bombing, 9/11, and most recently the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre, is largely guaranteed.

The effect on academic and journalistic inquiry into ambiguous and unexplained events that may in turn mobilize public inquiry, debate and action has been dramatic and far-reaching. One need only look to the rising police state and evisceration of civil liberties and constitutional protections as evidence of how this set of subtle and deceptive intimidation tactics has profoundly encumbered the potential for future independent self-determination and civic empowerment.

There is not one of you who dares to write your honest opinions, and if you did, you know beforehand that it would never appear in print. I am paid weekly for keeping my honest opinion out of the paper I am connected with. Others of you are paid similar weekly salaries for similar things, and any of you who would be so foolish as to write honest opinions would be out on the streets looking for another job. If I allowed my honest opinions to appear in one issue of my paper, before twenty-four hours my occupation would be gone. The business of the journalists is to destroy the truth; to lie outright; to pervert; to vilify; to fawn at the feet of mammon, and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread. You know it and I know it, and what folly is this toasting an independent press? We are the tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are the jumping jacks, they pull the strings and we dance. Our talents, our possibilities, and our lives are all the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes.”
– John Swinton, former New York Times Chief of Staff

Is the CIA weaponizing the concepts ‘conspiracy theory’ and ‘fake news?’

April 1967, the CIA wrote a dispatch which coined the term “conspiracy theories” … and recommended methods for discrediting such theories.  The dispatch was marked “psych” –  short for “psychological operations” or disinformation –  and “CS” for the CIA’s “Clandestine Services” unit.

The dispatch was produced in responses to a Freedom of Information Act request by the New York Times in 1976.

The dispatch states:

2. This trend of opinion is a matter of concern to the U.S. government, including our organization.

The aim of this dispatch is to provide material countering and discrediting the claims of the conspiracy theorists, so as to inhibit the circulation of such claims in other countries. Background information is supplied in a classified section and in a number of unclassified attachments.

3. Action. We do not recommend that discussion of the [conspiracy] question be initiated where it is not already taking place. Where discussion is active addresses are requested:

a. To discuss the publicity problem with and friendly elite contacts (especially politicians and editors) , pointing out that the [official investigation of the relevant event] made as thorough an investigation as humanly possible, that the charges of the critics are without serious foundation, and that further speculative discussion only plays into the hands of the opposition. Point out also that parts of the conspiracy talk appear to be deliberately generated by …  propagandists. Urge them to use their influence to discourage unfounded and irresponsible speculation.

b. To employ propaganda assets to and refute the attacks of the critics. Book reviews and feature articles are particularly appropriate for this purpose. The unclassified attachments to this guidance should provide useful background material for passing to assets. Our ploy should point out, as applicable, that the critics are (I) wedded to theories adopted before the evidence was in, (II) politically interested, (III) financially interested, (IV) hasty and inaccurate in their research, or (V) infatuated with their own theories.

4. In private to media discussions not directed at any particular writer, or in attacking publications which may be yet forthcoming, the following arguments should be useful:

a. No significant new evidence has emerged which the Commission did not consider.

b. Critics usually overvalue particular items and ignore others. They tend to place more emphasis on the recollections of individual witnesses (which are less reliable and more divergent–and hence offer more hand-holds for criticism) …

c. Conspiracy on the large scale often suggested would be impossible to conceal in the United States, esp. since informants could expect to receive large royalties, etc.

d. Critics have often been enticed by a form of intellectual pride: they light on some theory and fall in love with it; they also scoff at the Commission because it did not always answer every question with a flat decision one way or the other.

f. As to charges that the Commission’s report was a rush job, it emerged three months after the deadline originally set. But to the degree that the Commission tried to speed up its reporting, this was largely due to the pressure of irresponsible speculation already appearing, in some cases coming from the same critics who, refusing to admit their errors, are now putting out new criticisms.

g. Such vague accusations as that “more than ten people have died mysteriously” can always be explained in some natural way ….

5. Where possible, counter speculation by encouraging reference to the Commission’s Report itself. Open-minded foreign readers should still be impressed by the care, thoroughness, objectivity and speed with which the Commission worked. Reviewers of other books might be encouraged to add to their account the idea that, checking back with the report itself, they found it far superior to the work of its critics.

Summarizing the tactics which the CIA dispatch recommended:

•    Claim that it would be impossible for so many people would keep quiet about such a big conspiracy

•    Have people friendly to the CIA attack the claims, and point back to “official” reports

•    Claim that eyewitness testimony is unreliable

•    Claim that this is all old news, as “no significant new evidence has emerged”

•    Ignore conspiracy claims unless discussion about them is already too active

•    Claim that it’s irresponsible to speculate

•    Accuse theorists of being wedded to and infatuated with their theories

•    Accuse theorists of being politically motivated

•    Accuse theorists of having financial interests in promoting conspiracy theories

In other words, the CIA’s clandestine services unit created the arguments for attacking conspiracy theories as unreliable in the 1960s as part of its psychological warfare operations.

But don’t worry, SNOPES says it’s FALSE.

It’s just a “crazy conspiracy theory”…

Go back to work, you have bills to pay. You may owe your soul to whatever God you made your deal with, but the U.S Corporation owns your body. Check the fine print on that birth certificate… Muahahahahahahahaaaaa
